Good 'noon to you all - a turbulent week of weather to come with strong winds, rain, sunshine, showers, frost and perhaps some high ground sleet/snow all on the menu. Ready? Let's dive in...
#Monday ️ One of the better days of the week as we'll be in between low pressure systems. Mostly dry and bright with the legacy of #StormAtiyah ensuring winds remain fresh. Quite a chilly feel with highs of around 7C.
#Tuesday Batten down the hatches for a wet and stormy day with spells of heavy rain and very strong westerly winds gusting to 50mph Milder but a write-off day anyway. 11C.
#Wednesday continues the windy theme but it will be brighter than Tuesday. Blustery showers blowing through with bright spells in between. Low pressure still very much influential. Colder again. 7C.
#Thursday ️ further rain is likely to spread in from the west, perhaps temporarily preceded by some sleet or wet snow over the Peaks. Staying rather breezy. 8C.
#Friday ️ By the end of the week we'll be hoping for some respite! Thursday's system should have cleared east and, though breezy, winds should be lighter than earlier in the week with some sunshine and one or two showers, possibly wintry over high ground. 6C.
Looking at the current data, I'm not seeing any real risk of significant snow next week. Some of us living at elevation could see some sleetiness at times, perhaps some transient wet snow but nothing that would settle or disrupt
