A little experiment on the set dosa batter whipped out soft, spongy dosas perfectly! The regular dosa batter was used to make pulla pongaralu or paniyarams with grated carrot, finely chopped coriander and green chilli. Paired with the delicious allam pachchadi or ginger chutney. The recipe for the regular dosa and ginger chutney is on the blog. Taking a good picture of stuffing is not an easy feat as it is not the most photogenic of foods. I'm sharing this picture anyway to tell you a quick story: I made this when I worked in a group home. Those guys are so much meat and so few vegetables that even a dedicated carnivore would be appalled. So, despite the protests of my boss, I found a way to get these guys who struggled with things like cholesterol to eat a little bit less meat and more vegetables. Because seriously. No matter how much you enjoy meat for whatever reason, you don't need it in every meal. The year I was responsible for the sides of the Thanksgiving meal shared between two group homes, I passive aggressively made all of them vegetarian and made the stuffing vegan. Know what I did to make the stuffing vegan? I used vegetable broth in place of turkey or chicken broth. (And didn't put it in the turkey because you shouldn't do that anyway). Seriously though. That's it. Eating fewer animal products for whatever reason needn't be difficult. Start simple. I ate some food my premed cooked that I didn’t measure and I made some food but ended up adding way more things like cabbage and tomato and broccoli, so more good veggies just macros and calories and probably sodium is off. I made it with TSP, and I learned how to make soy milk,tofu, tempeh (with okara), and yogurt and I’m so excited to make it!!!!! I workout arms and did Chloe ting abs 2x, and walked for a couple minutes. Most of the day was lazy. I have three finals next week I’m so glad I’m starting this journey eating enough, bc before this I would go to 1600 with exercise and lose ten pounds then gain it back so easily.
