The day was full of eating delicious things. Not pictures was my breakfast (made in the RV, and my lunch (simple bbq steak and a piece of bread, so simple and soooo good!). So I had pretzel, mandarin segments covered in chocolate, fried dough with powdered sugar, fried cheese with lingonberry jam. This evening called for kakapo minze, and mum craved a schnitzel. Mhmm.. the sweetest sweet potatoes ️ 3 days of juice cleansing and this was my first real meal. I had a few celery sticks this morning. The whole cleanse I craved sweet potatoes. So here I am satisfying myself. Since the cleanse I feel up lifted emotionally. I feel lighter but not in a weight way — my brain fog as cleared up a bit. The face acne has pretty much gone away. My sugar craving is gone. It’s amazing what 3 days can do. I am craving some fish.. so I’ll have some tonight.. but there was nothing else I really wanted. Not chocolate or gummies.. or cookies or pies or cake. This is huge because I feel like I’ve been on a bender for months with all the sweets I’ve been eating. So if you’re in a funk and you want to switch it up.. go to @iloverorys and try a cleanse! @leighalberti and I did a 3 day — (I have done a few 7 day cleanses but really *i think 3 days is great) warning the 2nd - 3rd day are tough. But then you get to eat. If you feel like you want to go longer which is how I normally feel after day 3 then do it! It’s so important especially in these dark times that we learn to switch it up. Pretty much my favorite thing ever, Bachelorette Party ABV 5% hard seltzer from @thenordicbrewingco (most brewery’s don’t have seltzer’s, so this is unique and WAY better than white claw!) Nasi Goreng Udang INGREDIENTS 1.5 cups cooked long grain rice 5 shallots , divided 1.5 cloves garlic 1/2 teaspoon shrimp paste 1.5 tablespoons sweet soy sauce (kecap manis) 1/2 tablespoon soy sauce 1/2 teaspoon palm sugar 2 scallion , chopped 1 diced red chili pepper Raw prawns cucumber , sliced METHOD 1. Deep fry 4 shallots, cut into very thin slices until slightly crisp, about 5-6 minutes. Set aside. 2. Meanwhile, mix the 6 shallots, garlic, shrimp paste and chili in a food processor. 3. Heat cooking oil over medium heat in a wok or large frying pan and fry the paste mixture for 2 minutes. Add prawns and cook u til@just pink and curled into a C shape. Approx 2-3 mins 4. Add the rice, kecap manis, soy sauce and palm sugar. Sauté everything over high heat for 6-7 minutes. 5. Add scallion and stir through sauté for another few mins. 6.
